For years, Uroš Weinberger has been grappling with the constant sensory overload of image content that is transferred to us via print and digital media. To be more precise, he even draws his visual vocabulary from them. Weinberger, who has a perfect command of reading between the lines, always critically scrutinizes news and reacts subtly to current images from the Internet, social media, television, newspapers and film. The artist frees highly topical image content from its actual context before placing it in new frames of reference like a collage, the content of which can often be interpreted as a warning.
